Community Hospitals Program engagement report Phase 1: Service design and planning

We’ve been gathering feedback from local Victorian communities to help shape the $675 million Community Hospitals Program.

The range of services provided in each of the 10 community hospitals will be tailored to the health and wellbeing needs of the local community.

It is therefore essential that the community is involved in the planning process to ensure local issues are identified, and community views and aspirations are captured.

This feedback is now available in our Phase 1: Service design and planning report. The report provides an overview of the communications and engagement activity completed during the early phase of service design and planning.

The findings will be used by the Community Hospitals Program project team and our partners to help shape the planning and design to ensure each community hospital meets the health and wellbeing of local communities.

The Community Hospitals Program will be delivered through a combination of new developments at new sites and upgrades and expansions to existing locations.

The program will support new developments in the City of Whittlesea, Eltham area, Point Cook and Fishermans Bend, relocate and expand existing health services on a new site at Cranbourne, Pakenham and Torquay and upgrade or expand existing health services at Craigieburn, Phillip Island, and Sunbury..
