Construction complete at Flinders Street Health

Construction is complete on Melbourne’s new community health hub at 244 Flinders Street, marking a major milestone in delivering coordinated health and support services in the CBD.

Flinders Street Health will begin providing services on Monday 19 October 2026.

The purpose-built community health facility will provide compassionate, practical and coordinated support for people experiencing vulnerability in Melbourne's CBD.

Operated by cohealth, Flinders Street Health will provide a gateway to services and support across the city. Dedicated teams will offer compassionate, stigma-free care and help people navigate the services they need.

The building at 244 Flinders Street, Melbourne includes a welcoming front reception, consulting rooms, a drop-in zone with kitchen, laundry and shower facilities, counselling and treatment spaces designed in partnership with key organisations and people with lived experience.

Bringing existing and new services together will make it easier for people to receive coordinated care, comprehensive case management and practical support to maintain their health and wellbeing.

The project forms part of the Victorian Government’s Statewide Action Plan to save lives, reduce drug harms and give more people access to the care they need in the CBD and across Victoria.
