The Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) is a branch of the Department of Health (DH) in the Victorian State Government.
We are responsible for the planning and delivery of the Victorian Government’s multibillion-dollar health infrastructure program.
Our work includes planning and building new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. We also administer the replacement and upgrade of engineering infrastructure and medical equipment, alongside the asset management of existing health facilities.
Through strong partnerships with local and federal government, health services, industry and the Victorian community, our expert teams provide inclusive, innovative and sustainable solutions. This ensures our health system meets the current and future needs of all Victorians.
