Construction update: Warrnambool Base Hospital redevelopment
We’re making progress on the $396.1 million Warrnambool Base Hospital redevelopment.
Demolition is now complete at the Warrnambool Base Hospital redevelopment, making room for the new multi-storey clinical services building.
Ahead of major construction, we’ve also:
- relocated the liquid oxygen tank
- moved underground services
- installed new stormwater, sewerage, fire, and water services.
The site is ready for foundational works to start.

Site activity
Since early works began, crews have:
- worked more than 53,000 hours
- laid 4km of pipework in and around the site
- upgraded the oxygen system with increased capacity
- installed 150,000 litre water storage tanks and 500,000 litre tanks for fire safety systems
- realigned part of Hider Street.
