Milestone moment for Mernda Community Hospital

Construction on the Mernda Community Hospital (formerly known as the City of Whittlesea Community Hospital) is complete – and will soon deliver modern healthcare for families in Melbourne’s booming outer northern suburbs.

When open, the Mernda Community Hospital will be operated by Northern Health. The site infrastructure allows for a range of important everyday health services to be delivered once fully operational including urgent care, chemotherapy, dialysis and allied health.

The Mernda Community Hospital also includes ground-level parking with over 150 spaces, and a patient drop off zone outside the main entry providing convenient access for patients, visitors and staff.

Doors ready to open

The Mernda Community Hospital will open progressively.

Did you know?

More than 1,100 contractors worked more than 250,000 hours to make this game-changing project for families in the outer north a reality. The project also created and sustained around 185 jobs during peak construction.
