About the Pakenham Community Hospital

The new Pakenham Community Hospital will be a small public hospital providing a range of integrated community health and specialist services. This will give the local community greater access to ’everyday’ health services, closer to home.

Strong links to specialists, community health providers and social support services will improve follow-up treatment and support for those requiring complex care.

Operated by Monash Health, it’s part of the Victorian Government’s $675 million investment to deliver 10 community hospitals in major growth areas. The project will help take pressure off nearby hospitals including Casey Hospital. This means major hospitals can focus on critical care, emergencies and more complex surgeries and procedures.
