Site secured for Phillip Island Community Hospital
Bass Coast residents will soon have greater access to health services closer to home with a site secured for the new Phillip Island Community Hospital.
The site at 50-56 Church Street, Cowes will expand the current Phillip Island Health Hub to better support the health and wellbeing needs of the local community.
Operated by Bass Coast Health, the new Phillip Island Community Hospital will have extra public health and urgent care services, including:
- general medical, specialist and allied health appointments
- women’s health
- paediatric care
- diagnostic pathology and imaging services
- mental health services
- public dental
- dialysis
- day chemotherapy
- after-hours urgent care services
- rehabilitation support.

Community hospitals are small public hospitals. They will provide a range of ‘everyday’ health services for people who are not critically unwell.
