Structural works begin on your new Melton Hospital

The new Melton Hospital has reached a major construction milestone with structural works underway.

Locals across the growing west will soon start to see their new hospital emerge from the ground up.

The basement level concrete slab pours are almost finished, and the first suspended floor slabs are getting underway for ground and level one.

Five out of six tower cranes are now in place. These tower cranes will help build the hospital’s new structure.

Since major construction began in July 2025, there has been:

  • 84,000 cubic metres of materials excavated with bulk excavation now finished
  • 26,500 square metres of concrete poured
  • 1200+ workers inducted to the site
  • 274,000 hours worked on-site.

Construction is on track for completion in 2029.
