Warrnambool Base Hospital Community information sessions March 2026

Major construction is now underway on your bigger, better Warrnambool Base Hospital.

We’re inviting locals to join us at drop-in sessions in March to meet the project team, builders and design team delivering this transformative project.

Come along to ask questions and learn about what the redeveloped hospital will deliver for families across south-west Victoria.

These sessions are free, open to everyone and no registration is required.

Session 1:

Getting there

Warrnambool Library & Learning Centre is located on 8 Kepler St, Warrnambool VIC 3280.

Parking is available around the library. Entry to the Library & Learning Centre is via Kepler Street.

The venue is serviced by the local bus route.

About the Warrnambool Base Hospital redevelopment

The Victorian Government is investing $396.1 million to deliver the Warrnambool Base Hospital redevelopment. The redevelopment will transform services at the hospital, giving Victoria’s south-west community access to world-class healthcare facilities, close to home.

The Warrnambool Base Hospital redevelopment will deliver:

  • a multi-storey clinical services building
  • a bigger, modern emergency department
  • new operating theatres
  • a 32-bed inpatient unit adding 22 more beds than the current hospital
  • a dedicated 10-paedriatic unit
  • modern dialysis facilities.

Following extensive enabling, earth and demolition work, major construction is now underway on the redevelopment.

Over the coming months works on the site will ramp up and the new multi-storey clinical services building will begin to take shape.
