Westside Lodge is a 20-bed residential rehabilitation facility at Sunshine Hospital in St Albans. The facility supports members of the community recovering from drug and alcohol use and mental ill health.

It provides 24-hour care and support for people experiencing withdrawal or needing stabilisation and offers a person-centred, and recovery-focused model of care.

About the Westside Lodge dual diagnosis unit expansion project

The $9.42 million expansion project will add 10 extra beds and refurbish shared common areas. It will create a calming and therapeutic environment for patients and their families.

Once the expansion is complete, the revamped facility will be able to treat 40 more people each year.

Construction is expected to begin later this year, with the project completed by mid-2023.
