Construction on track at the Victorian Heart Hospital - video
Construction of the Victorian Heart Hospital – Australia’s first specialist cardiac hospital – is on track for completion in late 2022.
The main façade and all major structural works are now completed, with work on the internal fit-out continuing.
The striking façade, using weathered steel solar screens, is inspired by an electrocardiogram (ECG). It is designed to optimise the amount of daylight in the hospital – leading to reduced environmental impacts and improved patient outcomes.
Located on the Monash University Clayton campus, the Victorian Heart Hospital will integrate clinical cardiology services, research, and education to create a centre of excellence.
The project is being delivered in partnership with Monash Health and Monash University.
