Builders appointed for new ambulance branches in Avoca, Maribyrnong and Paynesville

Three new multi-million dollar ambulance branches have hit exciting milestones.

Builders have been appointed to construct new ambulance branches in Avoca, Maribyrnong and Paynesville. This means local paramedics will soon have the facilities and support they need to quickly respond to local emergencies.

Avoca

Bowden Corporation has been appointed to construct the new Avoca Ambulance Branch.

Located on Rowe Street, Avoca, the new ambulance branch will include:

  • a three-bay ambulance garage
  • two rest and recline areas
  • relievers' quarters
  • training facilities
  • a fully equipped kitchen
  • improved security and car parking.

Maribyrnong

Building Engineering has been appointed to construct the new Maribyrnong Ambulance Branch.

Located on Hampstead Road, Maidstone, the new ambulance branch will include:

  • a four-bay ambulance garage
  • four rest and recline areas
  • training facilities
  • a fully equipped kitchen
  • improved security and car parking.

Paynesville

McColl Smith Projects has been appointed to construct the new Paynesville Ambulance Branch.

Located on Paynesville Road, Paynesville, the new ambulance branch will include:

  • a three-bay ambulance garage
  • two rest and recline areas
  • training facilities
  • a fully equipped kitchen
  • improved security and car parking.

Ambulance Victoria Development Program

The Victorian Government has committed approximately $279 million since 2015 to upgrade and rebuild ambulance branches.

The new and upgraded buildings will provide better working conditions for paramedics and ensure lifesaving emergency care is available for all Victorians.
