Construction begins on new Doncaster ambulance branch
Construction is officially underway on the new Doncaster ambulance branch.
Member for Eastern Metropolitan Region Sonja Terpstra MO turned the first sod last week for the new branch on Foote Street.
The spacious new branch will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It will include:
- a six-bay drive in-and-out garage
- training facilities
- rest and recline areas
- a fully fitted kitchen
- on-site staff car parking.
The branch is being built on the site of the former Templestowe metropolitan fire brigade station.
Once complete, the new branch will give paramedics the modern facilities they need to serve the growing Manningham community.
