Construction starts on new Mount Waverley ambulance branch

Construction began this week on Mount Waverley’s new 24-hour ambulance branch. The new space will give paramedics the cutting-edge facilities they need to quickly respond to emergencies – and save lives.

The spacious and modern ambulance branch will be located at 245 Waverley Road in Mount Waverley. It will feature:

  • a four-bay garage for emergency vehicles
  • four rest and recline rooms
  • a kitchen
  • training room
  • staff car parking spaces.

Supporting the paramedics who support us

In an emergency, paramedics provide world-class care to the people of Victoria. But in order to provide the best care, they need a high quality workplace and the right equipment.

The Victorian Government has invested a record $1 billion to deliver more paramedics, more vehicles and more stations. This includes $299 million in the Victorian Budget 2019/20.

Ambulance Victoria development program

The Ambulance Victoria development program aims to construct or upgrade 35 ambulance stations by 2020. This year the program has delivered new stations in Tatura, Mernda, Broadford and more.
