Recipients of 2024-25 Regional Health Infrastructure Fund announced

Forty-seven health services and agencies will share $75 million in funding from the latest round of the Victorian Government’s flagship Regional Health Infrastructure Fund (RHIF).

This important investment will fund vital upgrades to infrastructure at hospitals and health services across regional Victoria. It will create hundreds of jobs and ensure more rural and regional patients can access care close to home.

This latest funding will support 61 projects across the state, including:

• an expansion of renal dialysis services at Albury Wodonga Health’s Wodonga Campus
• new laparoscopy equipment and orthopaedic and plastic power tool equipment to support surgical teams at Bendigo Health
• a new endoscopy system for East Grampians Health Service at Ararat Hospital
• an upgrade of Kerang District Health’s Glenarm Residential Aged Care Facility including lounge, dining and outdoor spaces as well as circular ambulatory route
• a major upgrade of Seymour Health’s kitchen which was built in the 1950s. Seymour Health is also receiving funding to upgrade medical equipment in its operating theatre to support proposed theatre demand of an additional 4,400 procedures annually
• a new vehicle for the Buchan Bush Nursing Centre to support home nursing services.
