The Victorian Government is investing $54.38 million to build a new aged care facility in Numurkah.

Operated by NCN Health, the new 36-bed facility will replace the Pioneers Memorial Lodge to deliver high quality care to older Victorians in the Goulburn Valley.

Residents will have their own single bedroom and private ensuite, as well as flexible shared spaces that encourage social connection.

The project is part of the Victorian Government’s ‘Better aged care for regional Victorians’ strategy, which will build new or transform existing residential aged care facilities that better meet community expectations and promote resident independence, dignity and mental health.

Construction is underway and on track to be completed in 2028.

What we're building

The project will deliver a new residential aged care facility with:

36 single bedrooms with private ensuites, grouped into ‘small households’ with kitchen, dining and lounge areas
flexible shared spaces and common areas for socialising and activities
landscaped sensory gardens and outdoor spaces
features to support a range of complex care and mobility needs, including for those living with dementia.
