Ambulance resources in Melbourne’s north-east have been given a boost with a new 24-hour ambulance branch now open in Templestowe.
The state-of-the art ambulance branch is located on Foote Street, Templestowe and features:
a six-bay ambulance garage
eight rest and recline areas
training facilities
secure on-site staff parking.
The location of the new station allows ease of access to main roads and major sites. These include the Austin Hospital and Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital, schools, shopping precincts and community facilities like the Templestowe Leisure Centre Stadium and Westerfolds Sports Centre.

The Victorian Government has committed around $249 million since 2015-16 to upgrade and rebuild ambulance stations. This investment provides better working conditions for paramedics and ensures lifesaving emergency care is available for all Victorians.
