An exciting milestone for Maffra's new $69.7 million aged care development has been achieved, with first stage works now complete.
Marking an important step in delivering modern facilities for the local Maffra community, essential back-of-house infrastructure has been delivered to support the entire Maffra District Hospital site, including the new aged care facility.
This includes:
- a new commercial kitchen
- new staff amenities
- a new energy centre.
Works will now focus on building the new 30-bed residential aged care facility, which will provide residents with their own single bedrooms and private ensuites, flexible shared spaces for socialising and activities, and thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces.
The current JHF McDonald Wing and Residential Aged Care Wing will also be refurbished to create a new Allied Health and Community Wellness Centre.
Construction is on track to be completed in 2028.
