We're building a $36 million alcohol and other drugs residential facility for the Mallee.

The new residential rehabilitation facility means people seeking alcohol and drug support in the Mallee can get the help they need without needing to travel long distances or leave the local support networks they rely on. It will be the first facility of its kind in the region.

The Victorian Government invested $20 million to deliver a dedicated children’s emergency department at the University Hospital Geelong.

The new paediatric emergency department includes 28 treatment spaces, including fast-track and short-stay beds. A separate triage system and waiting area was delivered along with new treatment rooms and support areas.

The facility was designed to provide a private, calm and reassuring environment for children and their families.
