Expressions of interest are now open for the Architect as Principal Consultant and Building Services Engineering Consultant on the new Ballarat Base Hospital redevelopment.
In May 2018, the Victorian Government announced $461.6 million to redevelop the Ballarat Base Hospital and deliver additional services to the community of Ballarat and the wider Central Highlands area.
In December 2020 an additional $80 million was announced bringing the total commitment to $541.6 million with the project now underway and to be delivered in a number of stages over a seven year period.
The project now seeks expressions of interest from suitably experienced consultants to deliver the scope for stage 2 and 3:
Stage 2:
- central energy plant
- education and training
- pharmacy and pathology.
Stage 3:
- emergency department
- theatres and procedure rooms
- 100 new inpatient and short-stay beds
- women and children’s hub.
